About us

The Systems and Engineering Ecology Program in the University of Georgia’s Faculty of Engineering is focused on informing ecological engineering and natural resource management through the modeling and analysis of ecosystems as complex networks and the development of mathematical methods for describing network properties. Comprised of colleagues and graduate students from Engineering, Ecology and Mathematics, our research group is committed to building foundations for the development of mathematically rigorous, ecologically-inspired engineering sciences. Building on previous efforts in Ecological Network Analysis we are working to integrate theory, modeling and network analysis with the efforts of other institutions who are focused on practice and application.
